Tech Week in Manhattan was a whirlwind of innovation, celebration, and networking as industry leaders gathered to discuss the latest in sports technology. The event kicked off with the annual Sports Business Awards: Tech, where Evolv Express took home the Best in Sports Technology award. The energy from the awards ceremony carried over into two days of actionable content at the State of the Industry, where the impact of AI and the importance of community and innovation were key themes.

One of the highlights of the event was the announcement of a new award for rising female tech leaders in sports, set to debut in 2025. This initiative, along with other women-focused efforts, underscored the industry’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. The event also recognized the 10 Most Innovative Sports Tech Companies for 2023, showcasing the cutting-edge work being done in the field.

Attendees at the event had the opportunity to engage with mixed-reality technology, participate in networking sessions, and hear from industry leaders on the future of AI in sports. The goal of using technology to engage the next generation of fans, particularly Gen Z and Gen Alpha, was a recurring theme throughout the event.

As the week came to a close, attendees gathered for a VIP reception at the top of the Hotel Hendricks, where discussions on AI and other tech topics continued. The event concluded with the announcement of a new quarterly virtual event, All In, focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion in the industry.

Overall, SBJ Tech Week in Manhattan was a resounding success, showcasing the latest advancements in sports technology and fostering important conversations about the future of the industry. We look forward to seeing how these discussions and innovations continue to shape the world of sports technology in the years to come.
